COVID-19 Announcement
feel free to call us +233553398483 [email protected]
Dear Akora,
The OAA Executive Committee has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation in Ghana with considerable anxiety. In the last 7 days as many as 5 Akoras have died from Covid-related illnesses.
The ExCo believes that Akoras can reduce their movement considerably in order to bring down the probability of infection.
The Executive Committee has therefore decided to close the OAA office until further notice and let the staff work from home. This will mean suspending the sale of souvenirs, etc. Payment of dues and other levies will be limited to electronic means only.
Furthermore, the ExCo is suspending all physical activities and events involving the OAA as an organization until further notice.
The OAA would like to encourage all Year Groups to restrict their engagements to virtual activity as much as possible.
Thank you.
Ernest Aryeetey
OAA President
