Museum of Science and Technology (MST) hosts a Kofi Antubam exhibition curated by
Elizabeth Asafo-Adjei @lizzel_sweets
as part of her MFA curatorial research project. The exhibition dubbed āUnsettling the Dustā will open on Friday, July 9 and runs till July 30, 2021.
The exhibition will display a limited number of iconic paintings, wooden panels and doors, in-the-round sculptures and for the first time, rare stamps some photographs and video clips. This exhibition also partly represents some rich but limited documents of the artist.
āUnsettling the Dustā will re-imagine our identity and provoke a dialogue on our commitment to preserving our heritage.The works on display mostly span between the 1950s and 1960s before his demise. The works were drawn from the collections of Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, George
Padmore and Balme Libraries. Other works can be found in public spaces like the Ghana National Childrenās Library and Accra Metropolitan Assemblyās Maintenance Office (Former Accra Community Centre) all in Accra.
