In keeping with the OAA’s commitment to endow Achimota School with assets in cash and kind to the tune of $10million by the end of the centenary, Akora Baafour Asiamah-Adjei of the 1998 Year Group through the Baafour Asiamah-Adjei Foundation LBG has signed a contract with Achimota School to complete the construction of a new boys’ boarding house for Achimota School by the end of 2027.
The house will accommodate 250 students. This initiative reflects his deep appreciation to God and to the School that helped shape his life.
Akora Prof. Ernest Aryeetey (Board Chair, Achimota School) and Mr. Ebenezer Acquaah (Headmaster, Achimota School) signed on behalf of Achimota School. Akora Joel Nettey (OAA President) witnessed for the school.
Present at the signing ceremony were Akora Kofi Fynn (Chairman, ASET Fund), Akora Leslie Awere Kyere (School Board Projects Committee), Mr Anthony Adjei (Asst. Headmaster – Academic, Achimota School) and Mr. Onesimus Osei (Lawyer for the Baafour Asiamah-Adjei Foundation. )
Also present were Akora Ebenezer Saka Addo-Mensah, who has also committed to a similar boarding house for the school and Akora Eunice Quarcoopome (Executive Secretary, OAA).
