Akora Dr Adom Winful of the 1973 Year Group was elected President of the Ghana Medical Association for the 2008/2010 term.
Akora Prof Nii Otu Nartey of the 1973 Year Group was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Akora Prof. Ernest Aryeetey of the 1973 Year Group was appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana on 2nd August 2010. He is the the ninth Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana and the seventh Akora to hold that position.
Akora Osei Kwami Agyeman of the 1975 Year Group was elected President of the Ghana Institute of Architects for the 2009/2012 term. He took over from another Old Achimotan, Akora Nii Teiko Evans Anfom who held the position previously and joins a long line of Akoras who have held that position.
