One of the most talked-about matches of the day saw Achimota alumni Dr. Ralph Tettey-Amlalo (Gyamfi House, OAA 1997) and Dr. Akuorkor Quartey in mixed doubles action against a formidable Adisadel–Holy Child pairing. The match was intense, tactical, and closely fought — eventually ending 7–5 in favour of Achimota.
