Dear Akora Ivan Addae-Mensah (1960),
On the occasion of your 80th birthday, the Old Achimotan Association (OAA) would like to congratulate you in a big way. Happy Birthday to you.
You have been one of the strongest pillars of the OAA for many years. Since ending your illustrious academic career, which saw you rise to become Vice Chancellor of University of Ghana, you have used your post-retirement years to pursue improvements in secondary education in Ghana. You have supported the Board of Achimota School in discussions of how to improve the quality of the academic programme at the School. You are currently Chairman of the Achimota School Endowment Trust Fund. Finally, you have become a regular at OAA meetings. You remain a very committed ancient Akora. Your love for Achimota School is undeniable and your willingness to share your time with OAA is very much appreciated.
As you achieve this milestone in life, the OAA salutes you. We pray for God’s abundant blessings for you and your family. May the Good Lord give you the strength to continue campaigning for the best in education for young people. May He support you as you contribute all you can to OAA. May you live for many more years, all in great health.
Happy Birthday to you, Akora Ivan
Ernest Aryeetey
OAA President
