2. We are committed to respecting and safeguarding your privacy. With that in mind, we have included a Privacy Notice to clarify what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

The Old Achimotan Association website is designed to facilitate communication among Akoras for personal and school-related purposes. To safeguard information is used on our website the following guidelines and policies have been outlined.

Information available on this website is intended for the private use of Akoras and for School-related purposes. Users of this website must abide by the following rules:

• Unauthorized use of information available on the website for commercial, political, or business purposes, such as selling products or sending broadcast email, is strictly prohibited. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, solicitations for commercial services and mass mailings for commercial purposes.

However, the OAA Secretariat reserves the SOLE right to use the website for the sale of approved Achimotan souvenirs.

• Members may download or copy any downloadable materials displayed on the website for home, non-commercial, and personal use only.
• Members shall not restrict or inhibit any other user from enjoying any service offered by the Old Achimotan Association, and shall not post obscene and indecent materials or use abusive, defamatory, profane, or threatening language of any kind. Additionally, users shall not upload, transmit, distribute, or otherwise publish any materials containing a virus or any other harmful component.

If you graduated from Achimota School, you are automatically a member of the Old Achimotan Association. All Akoras are eligible to register on the website. Registering means that you accept the Terms herein and agree to abide by them.

Your privacy is a top priority. Oldachimotan.org is password-protected to allow access only to registered Akoras. Although these precautions should help to protect any personal information available through the website from abuse or outside interference, a certain degree of privacy risk is faced any time information is shared over the Internet. Therefore, the Association will selectively hide certain personal information that is listed on the website to prevent viewing by other members.

The OAA will use the information you provide to enable better communication with members and for other OAA related purposes as stated in Clause 5 below. We will not without your consent, sell or disclose your personal information to persons other than members of the OAA Secretariat, website maintenance managers and anyone on a strict need-to-know-basis, or unless otherwise required by law to disclose same.

Neither Achimota School nor the Old Achimotan Association are responsible or liable for the content of the information available on, and have no obligation to monitor the use of, the website. Achimota School and the Old Achimotan Association make no representations relating to member use of the website or concerning the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information found on the site. The Old Achimotan Association is not responsible for screening communications and will not actively monitor the use of the online directory. For this reason, it is essential that Akoras report any abuse or misuse of the website by emailing us. Participation in the Association is a privilege. The Old Achimotan Association reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account(s) of any individual(s) who misuse the information contained in the website or otherwise violate this user agreement.
