On Friday, July 19, 2024, the OAA 1992 and 1993 year groups fulfilled a pledge made at the 2023 President’s Ball by The President’s Ball, hosted by both Year Groups, took place on December 16, 2023, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, celebrating their 31st and 30th anniversaries since graduating from Achimota School.
This donation, made in partnership with Maxim Nyansa Foundation, represented by Mr. Stanley Kwakye Dankyira, was introduced to the OAA by Akora Kwame A. Clottey ’93, to support teaching and learning. The total estimated cost of the donation was ¢70,200.00, with ¢50,000.00 coming from the proceeds of the 2023 President’s Ball.
The devices were officially handed over by Akora Elikem Ofosu, the 1993 Year Group president, and Akora Nii Ankrah Hyde ’93 to Mr. Ebenezer Acquaah (Headmaster) and his team, in the presence of Akora Joel Nettey (OAA President), Akora Eunice Quarcoopome, Akora Saka Addo Mensah, and Akora Grace Nelson, members of the OAA Executive Committee.
The headmaster and staff expressed their gratitude to everyone involved and promised to take good care of the computers and put them to good use.
